My company, Envisionier, is developing a product that connects
through the wifi to the Overo Fire and to a Gumstick running a custom
application that sends video information to our application running on
an iPad which displays the video to the user in real-time. With the
latest Apple introductions and upgrades, mainly to iOS 5.1, our iPads
will connect wirelessly to the Overo Fire, showing up as connected in
the settings and showing IP information. The application that uses that
connection to pull the information from a web server on the card does
not see the connection now and reports that there is no connection. We
are using the same code that was running under previous versions of iOS,
i.e. 5.01 and earlier. Strangely enough, running through the iPad
simulator on a Mac used for development works with no problem. I can
connect to the Overo Fire with no problems and all the code runs fine,
displaying video information from the module.
Any help is appreciated and let me know if any of you need any
further information in tracking this down.
