no problems here using tcpdump v4.1.1 with scapy v2.1.1
but I'm building it onboard not via a recipe.
Using it with a combination of libdnet v1.11, libpcap v1.1.1 (and
libpcap-dev) , pylibpcap v0.6.2 and aircrack-ng v1.1.
Have you tried from other than the root console (via ssh) ?
Aircrack doesn't like outputting to the root console(serial console) but
has no problems via ssh.
