It depend on what you mean by "slave". In general, it is not possible
for Linux to act as an SPI slave, for reasons much discussed on the
mailing list: spi-devel-general@...
If you have an application where all transactions on the SPI bus are
completely predictable, and thus Linux can always have the SPI FIFOs
loaded ahead of time with the correct "response", then Linux can be a
slave in that limited sense. A typical example of such an application
is continuous reception of transmission of a stream of data from/to a
single device on the bus.
