On BusyBox are two utilities that works like ftp client (put and get), but for smtp i didnt find anything,.... the most accurate thing is a perl code to compile. Any suggestions? you could use mutt for emails and curl for ftp. Both compile at least with buildroot but should also with oe. wget, ftp (the "normal" cmdline tool) should also be available. what did you try? greetings, michael |

Hi Michael, I look for curl and mutt on my buildroot but both of them arent there. Did i have to download the source code from anywhere? Or is it already compiled for arm on anywhere? Im trying to write a script that send an auto reply by email or by ftp. Thanks, Federico Micha-13 wrote: > > Hy, > > On Mon, Apr 14, 2008 at 09:56:36AM -0700, PipoB wrote: >> >> Hi, >> I m looking for ftp and email client that works on arm achitecture but >> i >> find nothing. What about this folders in your gumstix-oe: ./org.openembedded.snapshot/packages/mutt/... ./org.openembedded.snapshot/packages/curl/... ./org.openembedded.snapshot/packages/wget/... There are the .bb files for mutt, wget and curl. With these you can bitbake the sources for your target. For help on bitbake please refer to the manual (e.g. http://bitbake.berlios.de/manual/) since I am not the bitbake-expert. I dont know if there are precompiled versions. Shurely ask.com or another search engine is your friend. Greetings, Michael |

FYI. In OE on gumstix if you do an ipkg update both mutt and curl are available as prebuilt packages, however, I found that mutt depends on gpgme and pth that you need to bitbake on your build machine and scp over to the gumstix and install ahead of mutt. Secondly I got a warning that /etc/mime-types is already installed by pkg mime-support so I tried the -force-overwrite option when installing mutt again. Mutt started up ok. No experience with mutt or curl so there may be issues I'm not aware of but at least the build and install with little effort. I tested this on top of the default gumstix-x11-32mb image.
