There are 3 rows of 10 bits A/D converter on the Robostix board, can I connect a sensor with analog (voltage value) output to any of the pins and access the data? In the past month, we tried to hook up the sensor to I2C bus interface until today my adviser told me I should use these ADC on board. Is it true? Had anyone done this before? Thanks! Hanguang As you said there are 10 bits that you can use as analog signals, there are some examples on wiki in order to use ADC or you can visit the atmel web site and download the ATmega 128 data sheets page 232 or Application note AVR120 or code a2d.h http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Robostix_samples. The pins closest to the middle of the board are described below:..." Thus the "row of pins closest to the middle of the board" are the input pins. The Atmel128 manual explains how to use the A/D converters. Dave Hylands has generously provided example code (Atmel128) which shows how to use them. I currently have 7 IR range sensors connected to the A/D channels. The eighth channel is reserved for a yet-to-be-connected ultrasonic range sensor. I don't think there is a single document or location which contains everything you need.
