Here's the problem: I don't have a lot of experience debugging code on
an embedded platform (call that an opportunity in this economic
environment ;-} )
I have been porting someone else's code onto a Verdex XL6P. Its
written in C / C++. But I am at somewhat of a loss as I don't
understand the code very well. The code runs fine in the linux desktop
mode, but now that I finally have a clean compile and installed it onto
the gumstix, I am getting segmentation faults when I try to run the
app. I don't have any jtag debugging env, so am wondering if someone
can give some recommendations for debugging in an embedded environment.
This is not a trivial piece of code (POC). I know that I could sprinkle
print statements in, but that is rather tedious and slow given the
cross-compiler and all. GDB?
