My Verdex is up and running again. I can boot it and I can browse the different folders on the Gumstix. Fun, but i want more. I have compiled the sample Hello World C program and wants to transfer that to the Verdex. No luck. I use Kermit to send the file with the same settings i used to transfer the filesystem and Kernel and i used rz on the Gumsstix, but i just get a transmit error message I use Gumstix cmd: rz -Z -b I use zmodem for transfer This is the Kermit settings: Transfer mode: automatic File patterns: automatic (SHOW PATTERNS for list) File scan: on 49152 Default file type: binary File names: converted Send pathnames: off Receive pathnames: auto Match dot files: no Wildcard-expansion: kermit File collision: backup File destination: disk File incomplete: auto File bytesize: 8 File character-set: ascii File default 7-bit: ascii File default 8-bit: latin1-iso File UCS bom: on File UCS byte-order: little-endian Computer byteorder: little-endian File end-of-line: lf File eof: length File download-directory: (none) Send move-to: (none) Send rename-to: (none) Receive move-to: (none) Receive rename-to: (none) Initialization file: /etc/kermit/kermrc Root set: (none) Disk output buffer: 32768 (writes are buffered, blocking) Stringspace: 500000 Listsize: 102400 Longest filename: 255 Longest pathname: 4096 Last file sent: (none) Last file received: (none) //Magnus -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/One-small-step....-Can%27t-send-files-to-the-Gumstix-tf4637049.html#a13243298 Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

You can use scp. On gumstix cd to the directory you want the file copied to. scp <username>@<hostname or ip address>:/full path on your build machine to the file you want> . e.g. scp mhumphreys@192.168.16.21:/home/mhumphreys/gumstix_buildroot/Makefile . marc -----Original Message----- From: gum...@li... Quoting Magnus Leijonborg <ma...@sa...>: > I built a new kernel from the info at the new WikiPage to enable WiFi on the > msd-netwifi expansion board. So you have both the wifi and the ethernet, can't you use one of those ? You can also transfer your program(s) on a usb drive and use the usb host capability of the Verdex ( I assume you have a 60-pin expansion board since you have a serial connection to the Verdex ). Finally you could use the uSD for transferring the program(s) as well. J. |
