I frequently get the following type of errors with my XM4/net-micro-sd setup. I have a cramfs filesystem image on micro-SD card (FAT filesystem) mounted via a loopback. I've also seen similar I/O errors with a native ext3 formated filesystem (no cramfs or loopback). end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31357 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31365 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31373 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31381 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31389 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31429 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31429 Buffer I/O error on device loop0, logical block 3868 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 31429 Buffer I/O error on device loop0, logical block 3868 Anyone else having similar problems? Solutions? What cards are you using? Remember, I also had issues with Kingston uSD cards with this setup. I'm using Transcend cards now. The Kingston cards gave me issues trying to read them in u-boot as well. The Transcends cards work well with u-boot. Thanks, Jay Snyder |

Just trying to list the partition cable gives me: fdisk -l /dev/mmcblk0 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 8 Buffer I/O error on device mmcblk0, logical block 1 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 16 Buffer I/O error on device mmcblk0, logical block 2 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 24 Buffer I/O error on device mmcblk0, logical block 3 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 0 Buffer I/O error on device mmcblk0, logical block 0 mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 0 But yet, (sometimes) if I do the following: modprobe -r pxamci modprobe pxamci All of the above works. Thanks, Jay |

More info: This Transcend microSD card works great in my Connex 400xm with net-mmc (using a uSD->SD adapter) running on a buildroot 1524 build. I'm using 1533 on the verdex, which is basically the same. Thanks, Jay |
