We have designed a portable console unit for auditory rehabilitation using the gumstix Basix 400.
We are looking for companies in other fields that might be looking for a device something like this.
We have a stock of these units right now and are looking for a partner who might need the unit as designed or with some modification. We are interested in selling units or licensing the design or adapting the design for other applications. We very open to any number of possibilities.
The unit has a Gumstix Basix 400, 128MB MMC, 12V power supply, power control, 9 button keypad with indicator LEDs, 7.8" VGA display (CCFL backlit STN), software control of LCD contrast, console port for development, high quality stereo audio output with muting, auditory reference speakers, 33.6Kb modem, USB and molded plastic case with movable display. The unit can be viewed at:
Our application that runs on the hardware is an xwindows app that does audio DSP, outputs audio, handles the keypad, runs the modem, etc.
If anyone is interested or has questions please get in touch with us.
