I've got a wireless module using the pins labeled BTUART on the gpsstix, and I'm accessing that through ttyS1 (no GPIO changes), and this wireless module works fine. I've now added a 3.3v ttl serial camera onto the HWUART pins of the gpsstix and am having no luck talking to it through ttyS3. So i connected the rx and tx pins to see if the serial port is even working, and I get no echo with microcom (9600 baud, no flow control). So I'm wondering if theres anything I need to do to the gpsstix/gumstix combo in order to use both the btuart and hwuart labeled sets of pins. -Jon |

Yes - I dug this out of an email from Craig: ethernet boards use GPIO49 (which is HWRXD on the 60-pin) as nPWE, so you'll be limited to only 3 UARTS if you're also using ethernet. CF boards (including the upcoming wifistix) use lots of those nPWE/ nPOE/nPIO[WR]/etc lines which are overloaded with HWUART function, so you're limited to 3 UARTs if you use CF too.
