SQLite compile is still failing for us, too, even on a clean make. Nik it seems "make clean" doesn't work. (From Craig) "I don't normally 'make clean' I just rm -rf build_arm_nofpu toolchain_build_arm_nofpu then re-make." Craig- how about changing the makefile so it just runs rm -rf build_arm_nofpu toolchain_build_arm_nofpu on a "make clean" ? I think most people who are getting started with gumstix are going to tend to run make clean as a first step if something errors in compiling. Having make clean return errors almost adds insult to injury when something isn't working for you. I remember my reaction: "hm, sqlite is failing... ok, I'll try 'make clean'. What?! Error?! Let's see how you like 'rm -rf gumstix-buildroot' ! "... anyway, you get the idea. -Kevin > --__--__-- > > Message: 8 > Date: Fri, 3 Mar 2006 09:46:01 -0600 > From: "Nik Martin" <add...@gm...> > To: gum...@li... > Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] sqlite in new buildroot > Reply-To: gum...@li... > > I fetched the latest changes, did a make, and it still failed. Hah, rm -rf gumstix-buildroot is exactly what i've been doing because makeclean has been failing so much, this make sense, thanks for the info...maybe I can spend more time playing and less time downloading and compiling now :) btw I must say that I love these little machines and can't wait to get more involved with the community -Jon Kevin Worth wrote: > SQLite compile is still failing for us, too, even on a clean make. > > Nik it seems "make clean" doesn't work. > (From Craig) "I don't normally 'make clean' I just rm -rf build_arm_nofpu > toolchain_build_arm_nofpu then re-make." > > Craig- how about changing the makefile so it just runs > rm -rf build_arm_nofpu toolchain_build_arm_nofpu > on a "make clean" ? > I think most people who are getting started with gumstix are going to > tend to run make clean as a first step if something errors in > compiling.
