I'm thinking about a new project using the gumstix with the infamous CueCat as an inventory system. Is there an easy way to interface a PS/2 Keyboard device with the gumstix and capture the output to a pipe or file? -- Jeremy Grosser Student Rochester Institute of Technology |

I'll keep myself apart of the details however, since I'm already speculating. Supposing it's not possible that way, the gumstix also has some clock output pins and a pwm clock generator, so maybe using something like that and a few trickery it's possible to read from the keyboard using a gpio. Just my two cents, perhaps there are better ways to accomplish the same. Alexandre |

Maybe over the serial port? just found this via google... http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~jpc1/linux/ipaq/serial.html On 10/30/05, Alexandre Pereira Nunes <al...@om...> wrote: > > Jeremy Grosser escreveu: > > >I'm thinking about a new project using the gumstix with the infamous > >CueCat as an inventory system. Is it my imagination, or does gumstix + keyboard + LCD screen = 'terminal', like http://www.bobblick.com/techref/projects/lcdterm/lcdterm.html -- Keith Olson K-Soft Consulting |

I've been thinking about this project a bit more and realized that I don't need to deal with PS/2 at all... The CueCat uses a separate chip to deal with the PS/2 protocol. All I need to do is take the TTL lines going to the PS/2 chip on the CueCat and throw them toward some GPIOs.
