Hi guys,My college is going to start using Gumstix for its robotics projects
and I'm helping test-drive them. Though we will eventually use them to run
small robots, I have a personal goal of using them to learn about low-level
programming, the linux kernel and embedded systems in general. Keeping that
in mind, I was wondering whether to use Buildroot or OpenEmbedded or
something else entirely? I know that Gumstix officially runs OpenEmbedded,
but it seems to me that a lot of people still use Buildroot. Could I get a
rundown of what the differences are between these two and why I would want
to use one over another. If this has already been beaten to death, could
someone please point me to the body?
