Does anyone know if its possible to interface the Overo Air with different LCD Screens (ie a bigger screen?) If so, what are the requirements I would need to look into for it? Unfortunately, this doesn't work on Overo Fire... But I'm happy and open for other suggestions for doing so. -Leshell On Tue, Feb 9, 2010 at 12:41 PM, Victhor <vic...@gm...> wrote: > Yes. > http://www.gumstix.net/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_get_480_x_800_resolution > > Does anyone know if its possible to interface the Overo Air with > different > > LCD Screens (ie a bigger screen?) Leshell, I was able to get a 800x480 LCD working. We have custom hardware to interface to the LCD. The pinout does not match the 4.3in display used on the palo board. We built our own board to replace the Palo43. The circuitry is taken almost directly from the Beagle board specification. The Linux driver side is actually very simple. I added a new driver in /drivers/video/omap2/displays for my device. We had to get the right pixelclock, h and v parameters using the TI Omap documentation (page two thousand and something). That and changes to the board-overo.c file was about all it took.
