I'm not sure how much of a linux guru you are, but I found that using aptitude (and search, rather than apt-get) on debian was very helpful in getting buildroot to build. For example, you could run aptitude and just search for zlib. _____ From: gum...@li... [mailto:gum...@li...] On Behalf Of Sm...@by... Sent: Friday, 9 May 2008 11:45 a.m. To: gum...@li... I have this problem as well, on a Fedora 11 system (GB rev 1642)....but I DO have "patch" and kin installed!!! Huh? patch is in /usr/bin, so I don't see why it won't work in this case.....it works everywhere else (applying kernel patches, etc.). I looked at the termios.h file and the patch should no longer apply, so why should building stop because of this "error"? I can get around it by saying "make -i" but I don't like doing that. Any ideas? I run into this error: Applying patch /home/mjl/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain/uClibc/restore-baudrates.patch patching file libc/sysdeps/linux/common/bits/termios.h Hunk #1 FAILED at 156. These errors indicate that the patch couldn't be applied (perhaps due to a conflict or something). These errors are printed by the patch utility, so you definitely have it installed and it's being run. > 2 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- rejects in file There are .rej file created which have some details about why the patch failed. -- Dave Hylands Shuswap, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
