I was wondering if there was any way to connect a CAN bus and GPS with the
Ovaro COM. I did read the post
But, I require an active antenna with the GPS which the USB does not have.
Does anyone know on a 3rd party solution which provides CAN controller or
GPS as an expansion board?
Also, I was wondering about how much power would Ovaro Fire with the Tobi
expansion board need. If there is a place on the Gumstix website where I can
look up specs about power consumed.

Microchip makes a CAN controller that interfaces with a SPI bus. I've
successfully used it with a PXA270 processor:
It would be fairly simple to make such a board, but I don't know of
one that exists offhand.
Most high-end GPS units also provide RS232 output, which could be
interfaced a little easier.
