My Fedora Core 3 box seems to have lost the ability to bring up the
usb0 interface. I can see it as the "Netchip Technology etc etc RNDIS
Gadget" with 'lsusb', and usb0 is up on the Gumstix, but ifconfig -a
on Fedora fails to show a usb0 device. The Gumstix consola also
acknowledges with a message when the USB cable is plugged in. This is
odd because very little has changed on the system since it was last
working. eth0 is down since the machine no longer has network access,
and Kudzu thought that the device had dissapeared at bootup (I told it
to remove the configuration, then let it detect it and configure it
I've been searching throught he archives and this seems like a common
problem, although none of the suggestions there seem to help (I
created /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-usb0, but I don't have
a /etc/network/interfaces file).
Can anyone suggest any more options?
