I am in the process of bringing a custom board up with a gumstix overo. I have rock steady power supplies, good reset and the gumstix is happily booting into linux. However, I want to bring up the peripherals on the board. What suggestions do you have wrt to
1. USB OTG port. I used a micro AB connector instead of the mini AB connector on the gumstix carrier boards such as the TOBI. Is there anything special about the gumstix USB OTG cable supplied with the carrier boards (e.g. id shorted to ground). The beagleboard has a jumper on the board to short ID to ground to force the USB OTG port to host mode. Should I do something similar?
2. USB more generally. What signals onto the gumstix are required for the USB port? I realise the port only supports HS. I used a HS hub chip (TI TUSB2046) to support multiple LS and FS USB devices
3. What modifications do I need to make to the kernel? What suggestions can you make about where I should start looking
