hello, i'm trying to play a short movie on a gumstix and i'm trying without
success different options:
mplayer on fbdev at 16bpp plays but with wrong colors (gumstix-basic-image
mplayer on fbdev2 at 18bpp plays, color should be ok, but shows lines on the
image and 4x each image (directfb works well)
DFBSee-0.7.4 media player for directfb i'm tweaking everything but it does
qtopia's mediaplayer gives errors and kb, touchscreen and mouse not working
makes it difficult to handle
x11 has the rendering issues....
this really sucks.. has anyone managed to play video on a gumstix?

I'm interested in video playback performance, as Phonon video seems to be _very_
slow on the gumstix at the moment. I suspect it's an issue in our Phonon backend
but it would be helpful if you could give me some info? Ignoring the colour
corruption with mplayer running on fbdev in 16bpp...
How much CPU is mplayer taking?
What's the video type your playing? MPEG1, MPEG2, ogg?
What resolution is the video, and are you asking mplayer to scale it?
What's the framerate?
Is mplayer compiled with iwmmx instruction support?
