I must be missing something, I've tried to recompile busybox using the toolchain but when I execute on the connex, I receive: ./busybox: can't resolve symbol 'alphasort64' Thanks. Larry |

Hi Larry, > I must be missing something, I've tried to recompile busybox using the > toolchain but when I execute on the connex, I receive: > > ./busybox: can't resolve symbol 'alphasort64' alphasort64 seems to come from uClibc. So you probably need to add an option (using make menuconfig) and rebuild the world. uClibc gets rebuilt with the toolchain. You may have also already rebuilt it, but just not copied the updated libuClibc-0.9.28.so file to the gumstix. This is the shared library which contains all of the functions exported by uClibc. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |

Dave, I ran a make config and setup the cross compiler and target_os there, and everything went through fine, but now (this really leads me to believe I am missing something during the cross-compile stages) I get the following: # ./busybox ether-wake -b 00:16:41:56:27:F0 // using my compiled busybox ether-wake: can`t create raw socket: Function not implemented # ./busybox ping 10.127.112.205 // using my compiled busybox ping: can`t create raw socket: Function not implemented # busybox ping 10.127.112.205 // using gumstix existing bb PING 10.127.112.205 (10.127.112.205): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 10.127.112.205: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=5.9 ms 64 bytes from 10.127.112.205: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.7 ms --- 10.127.112.205 ping statistics --- 2 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max = 0.7/3.3/5.9 ms Thanks again for your help, and all the documentation you've done! Do a diff between the following two files: build_arm_nofpu/busybox-1.1.2/.config package/busybox/busybox.config The firist file is the config that you're actually using. The second file is the default config used by the gumstix. One of the differing options is probably related to the problem. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
