hi, I've seen, that the buildroot-environment comes with its own ccache. Is it activated by default? If yes I suppose it works when rebuilding (make clean; make). If it is activated, where is the cache stored, and how could I store it somewhere else? // florian loitsch -- This function will terminate, if run infinitely. void f() { while (random() != 0); } |

The cache is stored, I think, somewhere in the toolchain_whatnot directory -- I think make clean leaves it in place, but I tend to rm -rf build* tool* which blows it away. I've wondered from time to time how to stick the cache somewhere more durable (much like I always symlink sources/dl to a permanent location). Wasn't immediately obvious how to do it though. I tried to export CCACHE_PATH=some/directory/somewhere (ccache.mk theoretically replaces the path then). Unfortunately the image didn't even build afterwards. Don't know if it's conflicting with my real ccache or if this is just not the way to go... // florian > > C > > On Apr 2, 2005, at 1:37 PM, Florian Loitsch wrote: > > hi, > > I've seen, that the buildroot-environment comes with its own ccache. > > Is it > > activated by default?
