A serial cable is a must for upgrading the
filesystem which you will absolutely want to do
from time to time.
I am not sure how gumstix are being shipped, but
I thought bluetooth getty is run as shipped. To
log in all you need is a bluetooth adapter on
your PC and set up a hyperterminal session
through the virtual com port (assuming Windows).
