I posted a variation on running an app at startup on a Gumstix
system. In the example it's a Qt embedded app, but it could be
anything launched from the .profile of the root user.
The variation that might be interesting is that a tty other then
the console is used. This way console access is still available
for debugging and general system monitoring.
If you have network access on the system, it's not a big deal.
But if you are developing on some custom board that doesn't
have a network ...
Of course you will want to modify the example .profile for your
situation, but the tty service file should not have to change.
It's pretty simple to implement, so I thought I'd share.
