I have been troubleshooting an issue with my application for a while now and
I have gotten it down to the simplest form possible. I am using Steve
Sakoman's xfce image out of the box and by typing the following command, I
can get it to happen in under a minute.
ping -f [external IP address]
This command floods the interface with as many icmp packets as it can
handle. The external device that I am pinging is a linux laptop. It doesn't
seem to happen if you ping localhost, but I haven't let it run for a really
I'm not sure what is causing this but I only have one duovero to test with
so I can't isolate it to hardware or software. Nothing prints out on the
syslog when this occurs. I'm going to try to turn on some of the smsc911x
driver debug to see if I can get a better idea of what is going on.
Hopefully the problem is in the kernel and can be fixed easily.
Can someone else try this test and see if it happens on their unit?
