I am trying to make an ad-hoc network using gumstix overo FE com.I created
the ad-hoc network, its being detected, and i am able to connect it to my
laptop( Linux os). The problem is, even though i configured my gumstix
adhoc n/w with the security mode restricted and a key. Its not being asked
by my laptop, and the connection is established. The configuration details
of host (gumstix ) are shown different in my gumstix and laptop (regarding
the key and security mode). Please help...
I just stumbled on exactly the same problem. The link seems to work as
specified in the configuration, but closer inspection reveals that the
connection is unencrypted and open to the world.
Connecting to a WPA2 protected access point works fine.
As alternative, I tried to turn the overo into an access point by running
hostap-daemon, but I had no luck with that either.
