yesterday while testing wpasupplicant with my wifistix (marvell driver
mcf25) i was able to get link with my access point for a while but after
realising i hadnt setup the dhcp server to give it the right address i
disconnected and tried again - but since then i havent been able to get
it to associate - maddening - upon launching wpa_supplicant with:
wpa_supplicant -Dmarvell -imwlan0 -c/etc/wpasupplicant.conf -B
i instantly get
> ioctl[SIOCSIWPMKSA]: Invalid argument
back from the console before it does its thing
and yes i have wpasupplicant.conf there:
when i delve deeper i see reports constantly that the network is unreachable
ive tried adding -dd to the command line but i just get so much debugging output its insane
are there any driver specific parameters i should be using? anything else i should be trying?
ive removed the line in /etc/network/interfaces (pre-up /sbin/iwconfig $IFACE essid any txpower 100mW)
that i assumed would be causing problems - but still no luck
anyone have experience with this?
i use wpasupplicant on my laptop all the time so im pretty down with it - this is just strange
