Folks, I'm having trouble getting a Verdex LX6P to work. I have tried Minicom and Kermit and failed to get anything on the console. I followed the wiki guide here: http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Connecting_via_Serial_-_Linux I have up on that and simply did: cat /dev/ttyS0 This gave the following output: U-Boot 1.2.0 (Dec 21 2007 - 13:37:16) - PXA270@600 MHz - 1578M *** Welcome to Gumstix *** DRAM: 0 kB Flash: 32 MB Using default environment And then no more. Are my serial settings horribly wrong? Should I see any more with a cat? Mike. |

It looks like you don't have your client program set up correctly. This is my ~/.kermrc set line /dev/ttyS0 set speed 115200 set carrier-watch off set reliable fast set prefixing all set file type bin set rec pack 4096 set send pack 4096 set window 5 set modem type none set handshake none set flow-control none robust Then run: kermit -c Mike wrote: > Folks, > > I'm having trouble getting a Verdex LX6P to work.
