Well... Sometimes replacement have part number on it. You can try find pictures of replacement lcd on ebay, google, yahoo and etc... Electronic Goldmine still has the SONY ACX705AKM (240x160 color) for sale, $19.95. http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G13752 John Alfredo -----Original Message----- From: gumstix-users-bounces@... [mailto:gumstix-users-bounces@...]On Behalf Of Nicholas Sinnott-Armstrong Sent: Thursday, June 29, 2006 8:05 PM To: General mailing list for gumstix users. Subject: [Gumstix-users] LCD display? Anybody know of a 320x240 or better, 3.5" or so LCD that interfaces to the gumstix and costs <$100? Ideally, the LFH8P4032B. (as linked to in the LCD Wiki) And the only problem I found is that there is nowhere to get them :-(. Halted.com doesn't appear to sell them any more. Anybody know somewhere to get one/got two and have an extra? Any other LCD about this size (doesn't have to have a touchscreen, but that is nice) with 320x240 resolution or more? And another short question: are the GPIO/A/D easily usable on the Audiostix II? e.g. is there software like there is for the robostix? thanks! |

So how does one go about getting a console connection on a Gumstrix wihtout a Tweener? (I've got a Breakout-GS). I believe all the serial ports at 3.3vdc TTL? I can build myself a little TTL -> RS232 converter, but which TTY will the console appear on by default? TIA! -marc |

Does anybody know of a compact flash wireless card which can be connected to an external antenna and will work with a gumstix? Alternatively does anyone know of anywhere in the UK/EU that sells PCMCIA to compact flash converters so I can plug my PCMCIA wireless card into the gumstix? I have developed and prototyped a carrier board for a gumstix connex. I need 4 serial ports: 2 rs232, 1 rs485, and 1 to read a 1-wire temp sensor. I have a 2 channel rs232 txcvr connected to FFUART and HWUART, the RS485 txcvr connected to IRRXD/IRTXD, and I connected the one wire device to BTUART, based on this note in the gumstiki: =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Note! Current kernels use ttyS3 (HWUART) for bluetooth. This is available on the BTUART pins by setting GPIO42 and 43 to AF3 - and this is the default configuration. This can be very confusing if you want to use the HWUART for something else! To re-enable HWUART on ttyS3, make bluetooth use ttyS1 (see /etc/default/bluetooth) and then set GPIO42 to AF1 in and GPIO43 to AF2 out. You can then set GPIO48 to AF1 out (HWUART TXD) and GPIO49 to AF1 in (HWUART RXD). =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D But, 2 months later, I've gotten my board back from my EEs, and I'm now confused by this statement. Can I have 4 ttys active at one time using this combination of ports? If so, the note confuses me as to what to set the different IO ports to to get tty1-tty4 active. |

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the GPSstix as a through hole option? Or at lease without the power/usb/audio jacks on it. > I know they are a bit smaller than you were thinking (128X128) but > they are > way cheap at Sparkfun.com > > http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/categories.php?cPath=76 > > -Jesse W. Yes, those are very nice looking LCD's, but I think that they are a bit too small, both in physical size and in resolution. I was going to make a project that takes the world from the sparkfun camera, and transfers it to a virtual navigational world using the sparfun trackball and/or a touchscreen, and an LCD. 320x240 is a nice 1/4 size of the camera, which means that each "pixel" (really, 1 red 1 green 1 blue pixel) on the LCD corresponds to 4 pixels (but with the bayer filter, 1 red 2 green 1 blue pixel) on the camera, which should hopefully make it easier to work with. I suppose that the real reason I didn't like the sparkfun screen is physical size isn't large enough, and non-standard (well, maybe serial is standard these days, but not on the gumstix) serial interface. That is a very real option, however: I could use the main LCD with a 3D world, and that as a secondary "heads-up" display that shows a top view of the world. In case people are wondering how I will get this world working, I was thinking about using TinyGL or muli3d, two nice fast software 3D interfaces. nick |

So, I've got a servo library driving all six PCM channels on the Robostix. Well, attempting to drive. PCM channel 1A seems to do nothing. Here's some background. I've taken Dave's Simple-Servo example and modified it to run timer 1 instead of 3. (Well, actually, I had it running both timers, but I backed that code out to try to isolate my problem.) Channels 1C and 1B seem to work fine, but 1A is held at logic one and fails to perk my frequency counter or servo. (Specifically, 1A is being held at 3.72V above ground, which is the same state as the timer outputs I'm not driving.) I've verified the connection between my header and the pin on the AVR according to the schematic; everything seems fine. Every channel works but this one, which seems phenomenally weird to me. I can post source if needed, but before I pollute the mailing list, I was wondering if anyone has any top-of-head suggestions. Might there be a fuse I need to blow or some such? -Cliff L. Biffle |

Anybody know of a 320x240 or better, 3.5" or so LCD that interfaces to the gumstix and costs <$100? Ideally, the LFH8P4032B. (as linked to in the LCD Wiki) And the only problem I found is that there is nowhere to get them :- (. Halted.com doesn't appear to sell them any more. Anybody know somewhere to get one/got two and have an extra? Any other LCD about this size (doesn't have to have a touchscreen, but that is nice) with 320x240 resolution or more? And another short question: are the GPIO/A/D easily usable on the Audiostix II? e.g. is there software like there is for the robostix? thanks! |

I suspect its your particular unit. On all of the ones I have, the holes used for the gumstix spacer seem to work fine. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |

Not sure exactly what may have happened to it, but someone else may be able to answer you. Using Tomcat but need to do more?
