Hi Brian,

There is a git repository available for the Verdex Pro ( http://www.gumstix.net/wiki/index.php?title=Verdex_Git_Repository )which includes a 2.6.31 kernel.  Out of the box, this doesn't include support for the PXA25x processor used on the Connex however you might find it a good starting point from which to pull up any of the Connex- or PXA25x- specific patches from the Gumstix SVN repository.

P.S.  If you do get something going, please post to the list as I'm sure there are some other Connex users out there who would appreciate a more recent kernel.

sorry for those that got a duplicate, I sent it from the wrong mail box

Hello everyone,

I have been working on trying it understand as much as I can about how to
setup my own kernel and file system for the gumstix connex, but I need some
help. As of right now, I have been referencing the angstrom distribution
website and have followed the instructions given on the page:

http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom

My goal is to create an up-to-date kernel at or greater than 2.6.29, but I
don't know how to specify a newer kernel during the build, or if it is even
possible. Is it possible to specify the newer verdex pro as my machine in
local.conf, or would that not work at all?

Thank you for any help,
Sproon
