I'm contemplating a Gumstix computer as a basis for a wearable computer, but some of the verbage on the Display page of the wiki (http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Display) talks about setting up a framebuffer in the kernel and one user writing a script to have the gumstix computer use that as an alternate display to show ppm images, which offset me. I'm contemplating a solution using a connex 400xm-bt motherboard with an audiostix 2 daughterboard for LCD connectivity, add in a solar power source (

But, can it display its console on the LCD screen? I'd like to get just a text console running vi and lynx to take with me, but from the wiki it doesn't sound like anyone's mastered that yet. Is it possible to get the console to show on an attached LCD screen?
