So between the Wiki and an Ohm meter, I think I have answered my question, but I'm hardwarephobic and I wanna make sure I'm correct first.

I have an electronic speed control that has a VERY clean BEC (switching power supply) on it that provides ~5.8 volts at around 10amps.  It plugs in to a PWM header like any servo.  If I wanted to power the Roboaudiostix from this BEC, I would just have to jumper the pin one of the motor controller to V0, correct?  So long as the BEC performs as advertised, I should be safe here, right?

I wanna sanity check so I'm not shaking from fear while I try to steady my soldering iron.
