Hi again,

I know this might be a Linux question, not specifically related to the gumstix platform, but I have noticed that this group is quite active and helpful.

I need to be able to change the IP address of the eth0 interface on-the-fly, preferably through a boa CGI interface.  Is it possible to make a permanent IP change through these means?

I.e., Boa runs as a regular (non-root) user, and as such doesn't have permissions to run ifconfig eth0 x.x.x.x to change the IP.

Is there a single command that I can run to permanently change the IP?  I'd like to avoid parsing the interfaces file and changing values, etc through a script.  Too much can go wrong for a n00b like me.
