I also had similar problem before with omap3.2 from the git tree, and that was due to Marvell Firmware incompatibility with new Libtertas version or problem with newer udev, or other reasons.
Do you manually install the wireless firmware? If not, try search forum on how to do that. 
I didn't manage to solve my problem with 3.2, so I switched to omap3.5 and boom everything works...

Still no wlan0 on iwconfig. My only clues to what is going wrong comes from systemctl reporting dhclient.service faiiled and the network-wireless@wlan0.service is stuck in activating state. At this point, I just want to see wlan0 show up with wireless options to move forward from there.

Any suggestions will be helpful.
