This is awesome!
There is also the Linaro 12.07 on kernel 3.2 built for the Overo. You can find it here: http://wiki.gumstix.org/index.php?title=Installing_Linaro_Image

I have seen a lot of people grumbling about how stuff is out of date on
the gumstix website.   Recently my colleague got fed up with Angstrom
(there were package issues) and so I moved us to debian.   It works GREAT
and everything is up to date.

If you want to start using debian you can make a bootstrap with this
command:

sudo debootstrap --verbose --foreign --arch=armel --variant=minbase
--no-check-certificate
--include=module-init-tools,locales,udev,aptitude,dialog,ifupdown,procps,ip
route,iputils-ping,pump,nano,wget,netbase,vim,subversion,git,wireless-tools
,dnsutils,net-tools,wpasupplicant,libertas-firmware  squeeze rootfs
http://ftp.debian.org/debian

Read the man page on debootstrap because there is another step.
We have also used the hard float option (--arch=armhf) but that is still
in unstable.
