Thanks a lot. This patched overlay works much better than the upstream one. I have been able to finally build an image featuring the TI plugins.

The problem though is that the video output generated by TIVidenc1 looks like invalid H264. It's full of bitstream errors. Same happens with mp4enc codec.

Any clue what might be wrong ?

That was a Yocto 1.4.1 [dylan] build.

I tested dsp accelerated h.264 with some web cameras and also
a DVD player running through one of Chris Whittenburg's
tvp5151 boards.


Using that forked meta-ti layer and including something like this
in the image recipe was sufficient

    gstreamer-ti \
    gst-plugins-base-meta \
    gst-plugins-good-meta \
    gst-plugins-bad-meta \

    ${DSP_INSTALL} \
