At home, I followed this:

-bitbake jumpnow-concole-image
-modified the jumpnow-concole-image.bb to include the dsp stuff
-spent hours trying to get dsp stuff to compile, including downloading the stuff from ti, as well as adding the TOOLCHAIN_PATH = "/blah blah/tmp/sysroots/i686-linux/usr/bin/armv7a-vfp-neon-poky-linux-gnueabi" to yocto/poky/build/conf.  I also had to add this to my PATH. At this point, I was only executing bitbake gstreamer-ti, which finally completed when the path was changed.
- did another bitbake jumpnow-concole-image
- all completed.
- booted the results, no dsplink or cmemk loaded. just did this so I have not looked at what failed.

At work, bitbake jumpnow-console-image resulted in:

ERROR: This autoconf log indicates errors, it looked at host include and/or library paths while determining system capabilities.
Rerun configure task after fixing this. The path was '/media/gumstix/yocto/tmp/work/armv7a-vfp-neon-poky-linux-gnueabi/gcc-4.6.3+svnr184847-r29/gcc-4_6-branch/build.arm-poky-linux-gnueabi.arm-poky-linux-gnueabi/gcc'

ahhhhhhh! someone shoot me.

BTW, while I got gstreamer to compile by just changing the path, I it also affected by ability to do jumpnow-console-image, and if I did a clean at home on the jumpnow image, it could have the same problem as I do at work.

So, other than the DMAI error that happens when you try and build the image before building gstreamer-ti, and the issue with the DVSDK download, this seems to work pretty well.

I still have an issue where I need to replace every instance of ${TOOLCHAIN_PATH} in the meta-ti folder with the actual path to my toolchain (/opt/poky/1.2.1/sysroots/i686-pokysdk-linux/usr/bin/armv7a-vfp-neon-poky-linux-gnueabi).  Do you have any idea why I have to do that? I tried setting it in my PATH variable, and I tried setting a TOOLCHAIN_PATH variable from the command prompt.  I tried setting it in the local.conf.  I don't know what else I could try.

Im not sure about 2.6.32 and caspa. I had it workiing on 2.6.34.

Just completed bitbake gstreamer-ti w/o failure. Now working on jumpnow-console-image. I'll try to get my image build at home onto a sd card and try it in a few....

Bitbaking gstreamer first...

So 2.6.32 is needed only to work with the Caspa camera right? Will I be alright using the TI dsp stuff with the jumpnowdev 3.2 image?

I fixed the 2.6.32 problem. At home, I did something slightly different at home, bitbake gstreamer-ti then bitbake jumpnow-console-image. Im doing that now at work, and so far (about 1 hour into it) it has not failed. That might be the key to correcting the dmai problem.

btw, I have not tried the image yet that was generated from home. Im over confidant it will work and designing a pcb to take composite video in along with audio and using a gumstix as and LAN9221 stream video. Its a nice break from bitbaking....

Perhaps there is something different about the setup?  Have you done any toolchain stuff on your home computer that you haven't done at work?

You mentioned kernel 2.6.32, are you building that with the openembedded system or yocto? Are you building 3.2 in yocto?

Well the fun never stops! Since Im working on two identical build system (one

into the same problem with the dmai. The fun never stops.
