As part of a project for university we plan on using a Gumstix (we already bought one with the 70 pin expansion ports), and we are planning on designing our one expansion board to add a CANbus interface and populate the USB host / OTG connector.
The soldering looks quite troublesome as the connectors are really small and we are not sure that the University pick n place machine could do it especially two with the exact spacing. My question therefore is, is there any way / trick to solder this connectors ? or do you have a possible alternative ?
The current thought is to split the board in two parts with one connector per part so we have more chance of successfully soldering the connector but its not great.
Hopefully one of you will already have solved an issue like this :)
