Thanks,

That was it, I tried the easy and now get servo movement.  I’ll work on the betterJ

Might this answer why I see no CAN messages in the can.py demo?

There have been some changes to the servo example that might be incompatible with the firmware on your RoboVero. If this is the problem, there are two fixes.

easy: downgrade servo.py - the servo resolution in this version is not great

 $ cd robovero/python

 $ git checkout  9ff67766b1af5541f9ce31091c86a178d1d43ca4 -- servo.py

better: upgrade firmware

 - setup the build environment according to wiki

 - clone the firmware repo

 - modify flashconfig

 $ make flash

I think there may be more to it.  I connected a servo and am looking on the pwm1 pin (PWM1_1_MOTOR on motor header) and don’t see any pulses or movement of servo.  v_batt is @ 5.5 on that same header.

Oops. I forget to make a note that you need to have an RC servo connected on PWM1. Just added.

The python library is a work in progress so if you find any glaring omissions I'll do my best to remedy. Having said that, it is an open-source project so feel free to contribute.
