Hi Chuck, Dave

thanks Chuck, it worked! I built a file system with the last release (1630) including Python (with "make menuconfig"), and for now, it runs well.

The file system is big (18mb) but it fits (vertex 600mHz and 1gb flash). I had trouble with the original u-boot so I finally replaced everything with the results of the make (u-boot, kernel and file system) and it finally worked.

A couple of days to print "hello world" in Python,  this is not too bright but that's life.

cheers

Eric

Eric,

I ran across this just yesterday (I seem to find every possible
gumstix bug that's out there). libxml2-sources-2.6.29.tar.gz is
considered "old", so both xmlsoft.org and gumstix.org seem to have
moved it aside. But you can still ftp the file directly from xmlsoft:

$ ftp ftp://xmlsoft.org/libxml2/old/libxml2-sources-2.6.29.tar.gz

Note the "old" folder in the path.

Then, place this file here:
     ~/gumstix-buildroot/dl/libxml2-sources-2.6.29.tar.gz

And proceed with your make.
