My Gumstix recently complained while I was scp'ing a file over to it, and the flash file system was corrupt. (Original error messages are no longer available; I didn't think they would become permanent.) I decided to erase the image and burn in a fresh file system image, but it's not working out so well. Here's the bottom part of what I've tried (yes, this is a 16MB flash Gumstix):

GUM> protect on 1:0-1
Protect Flash Sectors 0-1 in Bank # 1
.. done
GUM> erase all
Erase Flash Bank # 1 - Warning: 2 protected sectors will not be erased!

GUM> tftp a2000000 rootfs

TFTP from server 10.10.10.230; our IP address is 10.10.11.10

GUM> cp.b a2000000 40000 ${filesize}
Copy to Flash... Flash buffer write timeout at address 560000 data 40404040
Flash buffer write error at address 560000

Any idea if there's something I can do to solve this? I've tried the procedure a few times and received the same results.

Thanks....
Mark
