That shouldn't have caused the kernel to not run. This is the same
kernel that you had running before right? And you just updated u-boot?

I'm also assuming that you didn't do something special to the kernel
to change the baud rate (in  your kernel).

You mentioned something about the baud rate being different? Could you
elaborate? How did you have it setup before?
