Steve,

I got the same problem with the i2c with custom gumstix-basic-image. Even with build 306 (the latest). I got a Verdex XM4-BT with ConsoleVX LCD18bpp and NetVx

Below the messages I got:

Starting i2c...

But I tested a custom x11 image yesterday and it worked!

You've been great solving the bluetooth problem. Now you got to prove yourself with i2c :)

Thanks again.

Keith,

Well, unless hardware failed you shouldn't see the tsc2003 chip
recognized in one image and not in another!

I suppose to be absolutely certain you could flash the rev 302
pre-built x11 image to see whether the touchscreen works.  If it does
then I am going to be *really* confused :-)

But it seems most likely that something failed on your board - perhaps
a bad connector or solder joint.

Keith,

I just tested the 302 pre-built basic-image with
verdex/consoleLCD16/netwifimicroSD and everything works.

If you are still having problems, could you try flashing with the
pre-built image?

OK. Just downloaded the 302 images from the website onto my uSD card and
re-flashed the rootfs and kernel images.

On the console screen I still get :-

Starting i2c...

The strange thing is that when I tested the X11 image from the website, the
touchscreen was working!

Why would the two images have different results with the TS driver module?

Still have the problem with the network not coming up at boot time as well.

What more diagnostics can I do to help track this down?
