There is a dhcp client in busybox and I'm pretty sure that is enabled by default in busybox's config.  Thats what I use on my stix.  If you still want to install that dhcp you can just download the dhcp-3.0.3.tar.gz file from somewhere on the net and place it in the /dl folder in the buildroot, then just run make again.

I just did a check out of the svn yesterday and built the filesystem after running make menuconfig

in the menuconfig i chose the dhcp options:
* dhcp support
* dhcp client

and on make I got this error:
make: *** [/home/eset/gumstix-buildroot/dl/dhcp-3.0.3.tar.gz] Error 1

It seems there is no file dhcp-3.0.3.tar.gz at

If I transfer the new file system without dhcp installed, I am going to have problems connecting to my new gumstix with
usbnet right?

If so I am wondering what I should I :
*  wait for the svn to get corrected
*  configure something else on the menuconfig to enable networking
*  download the dhcp-3.0.3.tar.gz file from somewhere else?
*  install the filesystem and connect to gumstix some other way?

any suggestions or comments are very much welcomed as I don't want to bulldoze ahead and find that I can't access the gumstix through ssh anymore (eek!)
