Just an FYI, i don't have all the same choices for txpower that you have, but I have 16dBm and when I try to set it, it still comes back at 13dBm just like yours.

I also tried setting it via the mW and my only other option which was 4 dBm and all of them returned with iwconfig reporting 13dBm.  I was able to shut off the tx-power and that did register.

this definitely seems like a discrepancy either in the iwconfig or the wireless device itself.

I would like to know if it's possible change the txpower of the overo wifi.

The w2cbw003 specification says that it can transmit at 15 dBm, but the
Overo wifi is working at 13 dBm and it won't let me change it.

root@overo:/# iwlist eth0 txpower
eth0      8 available transmit-powers :
         5 dBm         (3 mW)
         7 dBm         (5 mW)
         9 dBm         (7 mW)
         11 dBm        (12 mW)
         13 dBm        (19 mW)
         15 dBm        (31 mW)
         17 dBm        (50 mW)
         19 dBm        (79 mW)
         Current Tx-Power=13 dBm       (19 mW)

root@overo:~# iwconfig eth0 txpower 15dBm

Has someone tested this?

It is actually transmiting at 100 KB/seg, is it ok?

Regards,
Víctor Andrés
