Hi Donny

You need to recompile the kernel with support for the module, see:

http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Recompiling_the_Linux_Kernel

In the kernel config menu, see:

Device Drivers -> Sound ->  Advanced Linux Sound Architecture -> SoC audio support -> SoC Platforms -> SoC Audio for the Intel PXA2xx

I haven't tried it myself, though.

hi

i use a distrib release of 1545. i am trying to play a music file from the host. i use a stack of audiostix, connex. i tried to modprobe snd-pxa2xx-ac97. and it was not found. lsmod of this file is also  and  missing.

how could i possibly add this file to the kernel so that i can hear sound or music from the audiostix

regards
don
