Erik, it looks OK on my machine -- what script did you modify?

Thatís because I modified the script. Without the modification, the download step keeps timing out. With this particular file, there are two scripts, apparently having to do with kernel install or something. The other script file references a .conf file that I can not locate.

Anyone have a clear set of make files for a successful build?

Your download of the driver file failed, but the file exists:
zcat: /home/erik/Desktop/gumstix-buildroot/sources/dl/hostap-driver-0.3.9.tar.gz: unexpected end of file

Delete that file and try again.

Thanks for all your help. I went through your suggestions and started the make process again. The process went much further this time. And yes, Eri(K)'s must stick to together, all 8% of us.
Anyway, apparently in the home stretch, the make process had an issue resolving openobex. I located a site that hosted this file/version and edited the script for it. Then everything went well for a while. This is using build 674. I was crossing my fingers in hopes that the bad url would have been resolved, but apparently not. Here are my results:
/home/erik/Desktop/gumstix-buildroot/sources/ -nH -P /home/erik/Desktop/gumstix-buildroot/sources/dl -O /home/erik/Desktop/gumstix-buildroot/sources/dl/hostap-utils-0.3.7.tar.gz
