Hi Guys,

Anyone know where I can get an ARM assembler for linux, like NASM except ARM architecture?  The GAS semantics drive me up the wall.

Thanks,
Chris.

I have a VerdexXM4-bt with the LCD card and Samsung screen. Can anyone propose a BB package script to get a GUI up an running. It seems that the gumstix-x11-image.bb package is too big for the XM4-bt.

Thomas,

It's even easier with oe. Look in
com.gumstix.collection/packages/images for a few examples.

I'll start work on documenting how to do this, but there's nothing
like looking at samples. Make a copy of one that's close to what you
want, rename it, add the packages you want to the IMAGE_INSTALL list
in the recipe and then bitbake your new image recipe.

Okay, I just started working with OE. After a little learning I was able to get stuff compiled. Can anyone explain how to add packages, like Microwin or whatever. The old buildmenu was pretty intuitive.

Also, when you build another package, will it add it to the jffs2 image, or do you just send the compiled binary over to the gumstix?
