I have created a bootable sd card with an overo console image (in particular omap3-console-image-overo-200912291414.tar). I created the basic bootable sd card in addition to adding the exact same image to the root so that I could run the script found in http://www.gumstix.net/Setup-and-Programming/view/Overo-Setup-and-Programming/Writing-images-to-onboard-nand/111.html.
So, it seems that:
-I can boot no problem from the sd card and I can access wireless, modules, etc
-after running the script which installs to the nand, it appears to install without error
-after removing the sd card and booting from nand, it starts failing out saying that it cannot find various modules, for example:
modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.30-omap1/modules.dep: No such file or directory
(similarly, it doesn't recognize wireless)
Is there some reason that this image should work fine from the sd card, but not from the nand.
btw, I have been using a console image rather than a desktop image since I am only accessing the gumstix via ssh/ftp...I have attempted to install a desktop image too, but the installation to nand failed saying that there was no space left on the device
