Duh!!! Thank you David! Adding the subnet range to ZoneAlarm on the Windows side did the trick.
Just a quick guess on this one - have you checked your windows firewall settings?

Subject: [Gumstix-users] Question re: Ping over bluetooth
I have set up wireless networking over the Bluetooth connection on my 400. When I log in to the 400 over putty and ping my Windows XP system, I get the following:
PING 192.168.10.1 ( 192.168.10.1): 56 data bytes
--- 192.168.10.1 ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
However, I am able to ping the 400 from my Windows XP all day long.
