I have built the window manager for qt4-x11-free and all of the libraries it requires to operate. I have loaded the files to an external micro-SD card as instructed by the following link:

http://www.gumstix.net/User/view/User-how-to-s/Installing-packages-to-MMC/SD/microSD-memory-cards/110.html
when I get to the ipkg -link step, I get the following error:

root@gumstix-custom-verdex:/media/card$ ipkg-link mount /media/card
*** Command: mount
*** Command: add

*** Found package on /media/card

At this point, ls failed to operate as did most other shell commands.

The "rm: error" continues for every package I have loaded on the mmicro-SDcard. Is this an indication I have run out of memory in FLASH? If yes, how do I limit the size of the kernel and contents of the jffs2 so I have room? I ran make xconfig and rebuilt the kernel and basic image however the size of the newly created files did not change as compared to the files before I ran make xconfig.

Any help or pointers?
Thanks Charles
